What I Believe the World is all About.

In our world today, there has been SO MUCH HAPPENING. From Death of George Floyd to Black Lives Matter to Corona virus to the #End SARS protest to Terrorism as the list may continue. As you can see, the list is endless but, in one way or the other, we always look for a way to make things work.

When I said what the world is all about I actually meant : What I think and believe the World is actually ALL ABOUT. First of all, in the world there are so many Pollution, Overpopulation, Burning of Fossil fuel, and deforestation. The world is polluted with not only the cars we use that emit smokes , the environment we pollute with litters, dirt e.t.c we pollute our country, surrounding (environment) our society, the world at large with what I call CORRUPTION.

You may be thinking, how? Well, wise men once said “Nearly, all men can’t stand adversity but, when you want to test their character, give him power”- Abraham Lincoln. While another said “The world will not be destroyed by those that do evil. But those who see them without doing anything destroy us all”- Albert Einstein.

These sayings may sound unusual, bamboozling, and fragmentary. But these are true things that happen in the society. There are so many types of corruptions but, the most common in our societies at large are Bribery, Injustice, Extortion and solicitation, Nepotism, and Embezzlement

The first I’ll be talking about is Bribery. Bribery as defined by Black’s Law Dictionary is the offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting of any item of value to influence the actions of an official, or other person, in charge of a public or legal duty. Bribery happens in every single place in the world. It happens both Knowingly or Unknowingly. It happens at homes, at schools, at our workplaces, on the road .e.t.c. We all practice or take part in this so called “BRIBERY”. The only way to change it is by Good education, Good governance.

There’s a famous saying: “See no evil, Hear no evil and Speak no evil”. If we practice this, we can curb corruption.

Injustice. The most common in the society. We may say, NO. Nothing like Injustice happens in our society but, If any black person and supporters of blacks read this you’ll understand what I mean. Injustice brought about “BLACK LIVES MATTER.” That is what brought about the death of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmoud Arbery, Rayshard Brooks, Elijah McClain, Jacob Blayke, Tamir Rice and many more Blacks. Why are we Unjust? If God was unjust with us will we be alive today? If God hadn’t sent his son to us how do we think that we will still be alive. God made both Blacks and Whites. He made us all. He has a reason and a purpose by which he made us. Like they say “in everything, there’s a reason.” We shouldn’t be racists. I strongly believe in the movie T.H.U.G : The Hate You Give: Little Infants F Everyone. (THUG LIFE). Injustice brought about the death of Khalil. If the Officer just didn’t shoot. If only the officer didn’t pull the trigger at all those blacks. If only they Listened to George Floyd say “I CAN’T BREATHE.” If only they let him free from their grip.

We all should learn that when we haven’t changed ourselves we can’t change anything. We should learn to L.E.A.F: Listen, Empathise, Apologise and Fix. These are the 4 keywords to be able to live in peace with one another.

I hope with all these said, we have all learnt that cooperation is the key to success and without cooperation, we will all be nothing and no-one in this world.

Thanks for reading. :)
